The INTERNATIONAL TACTICAL POLICE ASSOCIATION, A.I.T.P, was founded in the year 2000 in Quebec City, Canada, and currently has its headquarters in Brussels, Belgium. It is internationally recognized as an association specialized in the “Use of police force and Human Rights.”
Throughout its history, the A.I.T.P. has developed training programs with realistic scenarios, addressing both legal and operational aspects of police work while promoting positive relationships between the police and the community. This mission reflects its commitment to both public safety and justice, as well as responsible engagement with society.
One of the most important milestones in the association’s history is the creation of the Latin American Police and Firefighters Games in 2013 and, starting in 2025, the EuroGames112. These annual events provide first responders with the opportunity to share experiences, strengthen bonds, promote physical and mental health, and foster institutional values. In the Latin American Games, the A.I.T.P. offers discounts to participating athletes and provides over 100 free tickets to police officers and firefighters in each host city, encouraging local participation and recognizing the work of first responders.
Finally, the history of the A.I.T.P. also reflects its concrete social work: offering sports scholarships and supporting officers facing unjust situations.
